After the success of the Xiaomi SU7, the company is now stepping into the SUV segment with its second EV, the Xiaomi YU7. Teased by CEO Lei Jun, this is Xiaomi’s first electric SUV and carries a design language similar to the SU7 sedan.

Design & features
The YU7 is a large premium SUV, measuring 4,999 mm long, 1,996 mm wide, and 1,608 mm tall, with a 3,000 mm wheelbase. The design follows the SU7’s sleek styling, featuring:
- LED headlights & DRLs with a familiar look
- Gloss black accents & sculpted sheet metal
- Unique wheel arch cladding
- 26 different alloy wheel designs
- Roof-mounted LiDAR for autonomous driving
While the interior hasn’t been revealed yet, it is expected to share luxury and tech features with the SU7.

Battery, range & performance
Xiaomi YU7 will come with multiple battery pack options, though capacities haven’t been disclosed. Powertrain choices include:
- Single-motor (RWD) variant with 315 bhp
- Dual-motor (AWD) variant with 681 bhp (295 bhp front + 376 bhp rear)
Expect strong performance and range, similar to the SU7.
Launch & pricing
The Xiaomi YU7 is expected to launch in June or July 2025 with an estimated starting price of CNY 300,000 (approx ₹34 lakh). It will likely compete with luxury electric SUVs like the Tesla Model Y and Nio ES6.
