After delays and missed timelines, Ola Electric has finally started production of the Roadster X, with deliveries now expected before the end of April 2025.
Ola Electric had announced the launch of the Roadster X in February 2025, along with a delivery promise for March. However, despite collecting full payments from customers, deliveries never started. That changed recently when CEO Bhavish Aggarwal took to social media to confirm that the first Roadster X had officially rolled off the production line β finally signalling real progress.

Variants and battery packs
The standard Ola Roadster X is available in three variants:
- 2.5 kWh β βΉ74,999 (140 km range, 105 kmph top speed)
- 3.5 kWh β βΉ84,999 (196 km range, 118 kmph top speed)
- 4.5 kWh β βΉ95,999 (252 km range, 118 kmph top speed)
All three variants feature a 7 kW peak power mid-mounted motor. The base model does 0β40 kmph in 3.4 seconds, while the other two do it in just 3.1 seconds.

Charging times
- 2.5 kWh: 6.2 hours to 80%
- 3.5 kWh: 4.6 hours to 80%
- 4.5 kWh: 5.9 hours to 80%
Roadster X+ offers extended range
For those looking for more range, the Roadster X+ lineup includes:
- 4.5 kWh β 252 km range
- 9.1 kWh β 501 km range

Charging to 80% takes about 5.9 hours for the 4.5 kWh variant, and around 8 hours for the 9.1 kWh one.
