Mahindra has kicked off its Origin electric SUV journey on a high note, delivering over 3,000 units of its XEV 9e and BE 6 models since March 20, 2025. This strong early momentum signals not only a growing customer base but also increasing confidence in Mahindra’s latest-generation electric vehicles.
Most buyers have shown a clear preference for the top-spec Pack Three variant, which continues to dominate demand charts. According to current booking data, the XEV 9e accounts for 59% of the orders, while the BE 6 makes up 41%. As demand soars, waiting periods in select regions have already stretched up to six months, prompting Mahindra to fast-track deliveries and reduce customer delays.

What’s helping first-time EV buyers adjust is Mahindra’s thoughtful addition of a new ‘Default’ drive mode. This mode mimics traditional ICE driving behaviour, easing the learning curve and making the electric switch seamless.
To make the transition even smoother, every Origin SUV delivery is bundled with curated video tutorials. These guides cover everything from maximizing driving range and efficient charging tips to exploring advanced connected features built into the vehicle.
As Mahindra expands its Origin lineup’s footprint, it’s clear the Indian automaker is prioritizing not just numbers, but also customer experience in the evolving EV landscape.
