Volvo has unveiled its highly anticipated ES90 electric sedan, a game-changing vehicle designed to offer impressive range, rapid charging, and cutting-edge technology. Built on the brand's SPA2 architecture, the ES90 introduces Nvidia's Drive AGX Orin dual computer setup, making it one of the most technologically advanced EVs in Volvo's lineup. This sedan promises longer range, faster charging, and impressive performance, marking a significant step forward for the Swedish automaker.

Performance & range
The ES90 is available in three variants:
- Single-motor rear-wheel drive with 329 horsepower and 354 lb-ft torque
- Dual-motor all-wheel drive producing 442 horsepower and 494 lb-ft torque
- Performance dual-motor offering 670 horsepower and 635 lb-ft torque
The range is another highlight, with the ES90 offering up to 700 km (434 miles) on a full charge based on the WLTP standard. Thanks to its 800-volt architecture, the ES90 can accept fast charging, with the capability to gain 300 km (186 miles) in just 10 minutes. A full 10–80 percent charge can be completed in only 20 minutes, making long journeys more convenient.
Technology & computing power
The ES90 incorporates Volvo's Superset tech stack, featuring dual Nvidia Drive AGX Orin chips capable of executing 508 trillion operations per second. This setup enables Volvo's advanced active safety features, improved battery management, and next-generation AI capabilities. The tech stack also ensures continuous updates via over-the-air software updates, keeping the car ahead of the curve with each update.

Design and interior
The ES90 features a sleek design with a high-riding sedan profile. Its roofline is aero-optimized, with flush door handles and a panoramic electrochromic roof. The cabin is equally sophisticated, offering a 5-inch instrument cluster alongside a 14.5-inch touchscreen powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon Cockpit Platform.
