VinFast, the Vietnamese automotive brand, made a grand debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, unveiling seven impressive models for the Indian market. Out of these, two models are confirmed to hit Indian roads by Diwali 2025. Here’s a closer look at VinFast’s lineup:
VinFast VF 3
The VinFast VF 3 is the smallest EV in the carmaker’s global portfolio, designed as a compact and stylish two-door vehicle. With its boxy design, it boasts features like LED projector headlights, a 10-inch floating touchscreen, and power windows. Globally, the VF 3 is powered by a 43.5 PS electric motor delivering 110 Nm of torque. It is expected to be one of the most affordable entry-level EVs in India, directly competing with the MG Comet EV.
VinFast VF 6
Set to be one of VinFast’s first launches in India, the VF 6 is a sleek and modern electric SUV with a 5-seater layout. Key highlights include a 12.9-inch touchscreen, a heads-up display (HUD), and heated and ventilated front seats. It offers a single battery pack with a claimed range of up to 410 km, making it a strong contender in the compact electric SUV segment. The VF 6 will arrive in India by Diwali 2025.
VinFast VF 7
The VF 7 is another exciting model confirmed for a Diwali 2025 launch. This electric SUV offers two battery pack options, an optional all-wheel-drive (AWD) system, and a range of up to 450 km. It features a 15-inch touchscreen, a panoramic glass roof, and a 360-degree camera. Positioned as a premium offering, the VF 7 will compete with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6.
VinFast VF 8
While the VinFast VF 8 was showcased at the expo, its India launch remains uncertain. Globally, this premium SUV features an 87.7 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 457 km. Other notable features include a panoramic sunroof, a 15.6-inch touchscreen, 11 airbags, and a 360-degree camera. It is expected to be priced around Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom) if launched in India.
VinFast VF 9
As the flagship offering from VinFast, the VF 9 is a luxurious electric SUV equipped with a massive 123 kWh battery pack, delivering a claimed range of 531 km. Its dual-motor AWD setup produces 408 PS and 620 Nm of torque. The VF 9 is loaded with features like 11 airbags, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), a 15.6-inch touchscreen, and a premium 14-speaker sound system. It will rival models like the Kia EV9 and BMW iX in India.
VinFast VF e34
Showcased at the expo but yet to be confirmed for India, the VF e34 features a 41.9 kWh battery pack offering a range of 319 km. Powered by a 150 PS electric motor, it includes amenities like a 10-inch touchscreen, a 7-inch driver’s display, and a 6-speaker audio system. This compact SUV could be a practical choice for urban EV buyers.
VinFast VF Wild Concept
VinFast also presented its bold VF Wild Concept, an electric pickup truck with a unique expandable truck bed that extends from five to eight feet by folding the rear seats. The concept model features a panoramic sunroof and futuristic digital outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs). Unveiled globally in early 2024, it showcases VinFast’s innovation in electric vehicle design.
