TVS is revving up the electric scooter market with the launch of new base and top variants for the TVS iQube. The starting price for the base variant with a 2.2kWh battery pack, is now set at Rs 94,999 (ex-showroom), while the top-tier iQube ST 17 comes in at Rs 1.85 lakh. Notably, the ST 17 model boasts a massive 5.1 kWh battery, making it the largest battery capacity available on any electric scooter in India.
Manu Saxena, Senior Vice President of TVS Motor Company's EV Business, stated that drawing insights from the riding patterns of their E.V. customers, they are delighted to introduce a brand-new 2.2 kWh variant with the fastest charging capability for the TVS iQube, along with an additional variant for the TVS iQube ST. The TVS iQube variants will hit the shelves in 434 TVS showrooms nationwide, as announced by the company.
What’s in the Base Variant?
Talking about the base variant, this two-wheeler achieves a top speed of 75 kmph. Powering this is a 4.4kW hub-mounted BLDC motor, generating an impressive 140 Nm of torque. The battery provides a sufficient single-charge range of 75 km in Eco mode and 60 km in Power mode. It features a 950W charger. With the use of a fast charger, the battery can charge from 0 to 80% in an impressive 2 hours.
Rs. 94,999/- is an introductory price for the same, which will only be valid till 30th June 2024.
Equipped with a 5-inch color TFT screen, the vehicle also incorporates features such as vehicle crash and tow alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, and a spacious 30-liter under-seat storage compartment. Colours offered on the same are Walnut Brown and Pearl White.
The New ST Variants
Concurrently, the company has introduced the TVS iQube ST to the market, featuring two variants with 3.4 kWh and 5.1 kWh batteries respectively.
The 3.4 kWh battery variant is priced at Rs 1.56 lakh (ex-showroom) and includes a 950W charger. Noteworthy features comprise a 7-inch full-color TFT touchscreen, Alexa integration, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), 32 liters of under-seat storage, and a top speed of 78 kmph. Its fastest charging time is 2 hours and 50 minutes (0-80%), offering a range of 100 km. Available colour options are Copper Bronze Matte, Coral Sand Satin, Titanium Gray Matte, and Starlight Blue
The 5.1 kWh battery variant, boasting the largest capacity, starts at Rs 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom). Equipped with a 950W charger, it takes 4 hours and 18 minutes to charge from 0 to 80%, providing a range of 150 kilometers and is made available in the colours Copper Bronze Matte, Coral Sand Satin, Titanium Gray Matte, and Starlight Blue.
For customers who had pre-ordered the ST variant prior to 15th July 2022, there's an opportunity to acquire either the 5.1 kWh or 3.4 kWh ST variant with an introductory loyalty bonus of Rs. 10,000. Apart from the battery pack, all other features remain consistent across the ST variants.
