TATA.ev is taking a monumental step in revolutionizing the country's charging infrastructure. With over 200,000 EVs already on the road, the company has now set its sights on expanding India’s charging network to 400,000 points by 2027. This bold initiative aims to make EV ownership more convenient and accelerate the nation’s transition to sustainable mobility.
Expanding Charging Access Across India
Since 2019, TATA.ev has been a pioneer in India’s EV infrastructure, starting with home charging solutions and expanding to public charge points in high-adoption cities. Now, with the launch of Open Collaboration 2.0, the company is taking things up a notch by working with Charge Point Operators (CPOs) and Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) to drastically increase charging availability—particularly along highways for seamless long-distance travel.

The results speak for themselves: in just 15 months, India’s public charging network has more than doubled to 18,000 chargers. TATA.ev has also facilitated over 1.5 lakh private/home chargers, 2,500 community chargers, and 750 chargers at TATA dealerships across 200+ cities.
