Tata Motors is preparing to launch its flagship electric SUV, the Harrier EV. First revealed in production form at Auto Expo 2025, the Harrier EV has now been spotted testing without any camouflage, giving us a closer look at its final design. The spy shots suggest the launch could be just around the corner.

The test mule features a White exterior with a contrasting Black dual-tone roof, a color combination expected to be popular among Indian buyers. Previously, Tata showcased the Harrier EV in a Blue-ish shade and a Stealth Edition.
Exterior design & features
The Harrier EV retains the familiar design of its ICE counterpart but with electric-specific tweaks. The most noticeable change is the closed-off grille with horizontal slats at the top and vertical slats in the lower section, along with a redesigned front bumper. A faux silver skid plate adds to its SUV appeal. The LED DRLs and vertically stacked headlights remain unchanged.
The side profile is largely the same as the standard Harrier, featuring:
- ORVMs with integrated cameras
- Gloss Black plastic cladding (similar to the Curvv)
- Roof rails and body-colored wheel arches
- Unique alloy wheels, possibly 19-inch units with 245-section tires

At the rear, the design is nearly identical to the ICE Harrier, with LED tail lights, a shark fin antenna, and a silver skid plate on the bumper.
Interior & features
While the spy shots kept the interiors camouflaged, a free-standing infotainment screen was visible, likely the same 12.3-inch unit from the ICE Harrier. The Harrier EV is expected to pack premium features, including:
- Ventilated front and rear seats
- Electrically adjustable front seats with memory function
- 12.3-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
- 10-inch digital instrument cluster
- Panoramic sunroof
- Level-2 ADAS
- 360-degree camera and blind-spot assist
- 7 airbags for added safety

Battery, performance & expected range
The Harrier EV will likely pack a large battery, expected to deliver around 500 km of real-world range. It will also feature a dual-motor AWD setup with up to 500 Nm torque. Fast charging support will be included.
Launch & expected rivals
With Tata Motors rigorously testing the Harrier EV in its production-ready form, an official launch seems to be just around the corner. It is expected to carry a price tag of somewhere around Rs. 24 Lakh, and will enter the market as a strong alternative to premium electric SUVs, including Mahindra’s XEV 9E and BE 6. Given Tata’s aggressive approach to EVs, the Harrier EV could also set new benchmarks in terms of range, performance, and features. More details on pricing and specifications should emerge soon.
