Tata Motors has introduced the Curvv EV Dark Edition, based on the top-spec Empowered Plus A variant, bringing the signature all-black theme to its electric SUV lineup. This version gets cosmetic upgrades over the standard model and is priced at Rs 22.24 lakh, a Rs 25,000 premium over the regular Empowered Plus A variant of the Curvv EV.
What’s new on the outside
The Curvv EV Dark Edition gets a Carbon Black exterior shade, paired with dark alloy wheels and dark chrome elements across the body. The skid plates are finished in black, and a “Dark” badge sits on the front fender. These changes give it a more aggressive and stealthy appearance without altering the SUV’s overall design language.

Blacked-out cabin
Inside, the Curvv EV Dark Edition continues the theme with a completely black leatherette interior. It features #DARK embossing on the headrests, and even the headliner is blacked out to match the mood. A unique addition to this edition is the rear window sunshade, which is not offered in the regular version.

Same feature-loaded package
Being based on the Empowered Plus A trim, the Dark Edition gets all the bells and whistles, including:
- 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- 10.25-inch digital driver’s display
- 9-speaker JBL sound system
- Ventilated front seats
- Panoramic sunroof
- Wireless phone charger
- Automatic climate control
- V2L (Vehicle to Load) technology
Safety kit remains top-notch
The safety features on the Curvv EV Dark Edition remain unchanged and include:
- 6 airbags
- 360-degree camera
- Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
- Front and rear parking sensors
- Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control
Powertrain and rivals
Here’s a look at the key powertrain specs of the Curvv EV Dark Edition:

The Curvv EV Dark Edition is only available with the larger 55 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed MIDC range of 502 km. This puts it right up against rivals like the Hyundai Creta EV, MG ZS EV, and the upcoming Maruti e-Vitara.
Final thoughts
The Tata Curvv EV Dark Edition is a bold step forward in combining style with substance. For an extra Rs 25,000, buyers get an edgier version of the already loaded top-spec variant — making it an appealing option for those looking to stand out while going electric.
