A day before the Milan Motorcycle Show, Royal Enfield has unveiled the Flying Flea C6, its first electric motorcycle and a nod to the brand’s WWII heritage. Inspired by the original Flying Flea model, this new EV captures a retro feel while equipping riders with the latest technology. Designed for urban mobility, the Flying Flea C6 marks a significant step forward as the company enters the electric motorcycle market.
The Flying Flea C6 features a lightweight aluminum frame, optimized for urban commuting. Within the frame sits a magnesium battery casing, which aids cooling and reduces weight, enhancing the bike’s efficiency for city rides. Royal Enfield has chosen to focus on modern technology to enhance both convenience and safety, including a full-color TFT screen display that shows essential ride data. This display connects with a smartphone app via Bluetooth, enabling seamless data access and customization for riders.
Safety is a priority with this model. The Flying Flea C6 is equipped with traction control and cornering ABS, marking a first for Royal Enfield. These features make it one of the safest and most advanced bikes the company has produced, especially suited for urban maneuverability.
While Royal Enfield has yet to disclose the bike's performance specifications, such as battery capacity and motor details, anticipation is high. The company plans to launch the Flying Flea C6 in 2026, with further details on pricing and availability expected closer to the release date.
With a dedicated team of over 200 engineers working on its electric models, Royal Enfield has secured over 28 patents for electric technology, setting the stage for a range of electric motorcycles. Sales and distribution for the EV lineup will operate separately from the existing petrol models, ensuring a unique experience tailored for the electric market.
