In a groundbreaking move, Ola Electric has introduced its maiden series of electric motorcycles, the Ola Roadster, in India. This bold entry features three distinct models—Roadster X, Roadster, and Roadster Pro—each designed to cater to various preferences and riding styles. Ola Roadster X: Affordability Meets Performance
The Roadster X is the most economical option in the lineup, with a starting price of just Rs. 74,999 (ex-showroom). It offers three battery options: 2.5kWh, 3.5kWh, and 4.5kWh. The top-spec variant, priced at Rs. 99,999, boasts a range of up to 200 km and a maximum speed of 124 km/h. It features an 11 kW motor, enabling a quick acceleration from 0 to 40 km/h in 2.8 seconds. The 3.5 kWh variant is priced at Rs. 84,999.
On the tech front, the Roadster X is equipped with a 4.3-inch LCD screen powered by MoveOS 5. This system includes turn-by-turn navigation, cruise control, and various riding modes (Sports, Normal, Eco). Additionally, it comes with a digital key, TPMS alerts, and app connectivity, enhancing the riding experience with modern conveniences.
Ola Roadster: Balanced Power and Innovation
The Ola Roadster steps up the game with a 13 kW motor and three battery configurations: 3.5kWh (Rs. 1,04,999), 4.5kWh (Rs. 1,19,999), and 6kWh (Rs. 1,39,999). The top model offers an impressive range of 248 km and a top speed of 126 km/h, with a swift 0 to 40 km/h acceleration in just 2.2 seconds.
This model features a 7-inch TFT touchscreen, providing access to a suite of advanced features, including proximity unlock, cruise control, and AI-powered functionalities such as the Krutrim Assistant. Riders can also enjoy the thrill of Hyper, Sports, Normal, and Eco riding modes, making each ride customizable and efficient.
Ola Roadster Pro: Pushing Boundaries
The Roadster Pro is the pinnacle of the series, available in two battery variants: 8kWh (Rs. 1,99,999) and 16kWh (Rs. 2,49,999). The 16 kWh variant is a powerhouse, delivering a peak motor output of 52 kW and a staggering torque of 105 Nm. This enables the motorcycle to rocket from 0 to 40 km/h in 1.2 seconds, with a top speed of 194 km/h and an IDC-certified range of 579 km.
With a 10-inch TFT touchscreen, the Roadster Pro is loaded with high-end features, including USD forks, dual-channel switchable ABS, and futuristic race-track functionalities such as Race Mode, Anti-Wheely, and Stoppie modes. The upcoming MoveOS 5 update will introduce ADAS, three-level traction control, and various access controls, further enhancing its appeal to tech-savvy riders.

Starting today, you can reserve the Roadster X and Roadster online, with deliveries set to commence in January 2025. However, the top-spec Roadster Pro deliveries will be delayed until Diwali 2025. Ola Electric revealed an exciting preview of its upcoming e-motorcycle lineup, which will feature three additional body styles: Supersport, Adventure, and Cruiser. All three series will be introduced in the future, with the Supersport models leading the way in a grand unveiling scheduled for around Diwali 2024.
