Excitement is building up as BYD India prepares to announce the prices of the much-awaited Sealion 7 electric SUV on 17th February 2025. The all-new model, unveiled at the Auto Expo 2025, is already open for bookings with a token amount of ₹70,000, promising an exciting addition to the EV market in India.
The Sealion 7 will be available in two variants: Premium (RWD) and Performance (AWD), with the latter being the top-spec variant. The SUV boasts impressive features like a 15.6-inch rotating infotainment system, ADAS suite, and a 360-degree camera, setting a new benchmark for electric SUVs in India.
Key Features of the BYD Sealion 7
- Battery & Range: Powered by an 82.56kWh battery, the Sealion 7 offers a claimed range of up to 567km (Premium variant) and a range of 542km (Performance variant).
- Power: The Performance variant generates an exhilarating 523bhp and 690Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds.
- Interior: Luxurious white leatherette upholstery, 12-speaker Dynaudio sound system, dual-zone climate control, and more.
- Safety: 11 airbags, ADAS, 360-degree camera, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
Launch Date and Rivals
With the official launch set for 17th February 2025, the BYD Sealion 7 is expected to be priced at around ₹45 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning itself as a premium offering in the EV space. It will compete with popular models such as the Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Kia EV6.
